Music and art are two of my favorite loves. Being able to paint and play piano gives me more of a reverence for both crafts. Usually while I paint, I have music in the background to push me into a deeper realm of creativity. While I enjoy many forms of music, my go to is modern jazz. One of my favorite artist is Robert Glasper. His album "Let Go" paints stories through melody. His approach to how he conveys emotion through his music grabs me in a way that I don't want it to let go. So much so that I would put down the paintbrush just to turn around and sit at the piano and learn the music myself. This piece is a visual representation of what it does to my very essence.
