Playlist One Year Anniversary Exhibition

Celebrating our One year Anniversary with Vibrant New Exhibition, "Playlist: Music is My Love Language"

Atlanta, GA— June 8, 2026 — CBROOKS Gallery is thrilled to announce its highly anticipated anniversary exhibition, "Playlist: Music is My Love Language," opening on Friday, June 12th, 2026. This milestone exhibition celebrates the gallery’s journey by exploring the profound, universal connection between visual art and the sonic landscapes that shape our lives.

"Playlist: Music is My Love Language" brings together an eclectic group of contemporary artists who translate the rhythm, emotion, and nostalgia of music into tangible visual forms. Much like a carefully curated mixtape or a deeply personal digital playlist, each piece in the exhibition serves as a track—communicating love, heartache, joy, and resilience through color, texture, and form.

Visitors will experience a multi-sensory journey where the boundaries between sight and sound blur. From bold abstract paintings inspired by jazz improvisation to striking mixed-media works rooted in hip-hop culture, the exhibition serves as a visual testament to Black Music Month.

CBROOKS Gallery presents its inagural group exhibition that delves into the complex and deeply human terrain of regret, exploring its dualistic nature: the weight of what might have been, and the liberating embrace of choices made, however imperfect. "kNOw Regrets” presents a collection of contemporary artworks that grapple with the emotional landscapes of both knowing regret and having no regrets.

We are all shaped by the paths we take, and those we leave untraveled. This collection of works confronts the viewer with the weight of "What If". Art presented expresses the lingering shadows of missed opportunities, the unsaid words, and the roads not taken. These works manifest the heavy presence of regret, its ability to haunt and reshape our present . However, there is the liberation of acceptance, where the exhibition also celebrates the power of acceptance, the ability to find peace in the face of our past. The collection of works also express the freedom that comes from owning one's choices, embracing the imperfections that define our human experience. The memory of knowing regret vs having NO regret is revealed as a fluid and subjective landscape. Featured artists utilize various mediums that portray how memories are altered, distorted, and reinterpreted through the lens of time and emotion. May this exhibition create an impactful response to self reflection , healing and a celebration of resilience.
