My Favorite Love Song is a mixed-media fabric collage inspired by the song Self Love by Coi Leray and Metro Boomin. The work reflects a love story—not with another person, but with myself. Atlanta serves as both the setting and the soundtrack for this journey. It is the place that allowed me to look inward, to confront old thought cycles, and to discover new ways of seeing and accepting who I am. Over the years, this city has held space for my growth, my healing, and my evolving identity. Like a song slowly composing itself, each experience, challenge, and moment of reflection became a note in a larger melody of self-discovery. Through layers of fabric, pattern, and collage, I weave together memories, emotions, and fragments of identity. The materials mirror the process of becoming—pieces gathered over time, stitched together to create something whole. The work speaks to the ongoing practice of self-love: choosing yourself, honoring your story, and embracing every version of who you have been along the way. This piece is a reminder that the most important relationship we cultivate is the one we have with ourselves.
